The Durham Hen House

Superb prize from Durham Hens

Your Chickens has teamed up with award-winning Durham Hens to offer a fantastic prize – the Durham Hen House.

This is practical coop – which retails at £399 - will keep your hens safe and secure, and it will last for years!

It was designed by chartered engineer Alec Manchester, director of Durham Hens, and is manufactured at their premises. He said: “We’ve been making these for seven years now and use about 90 here on a daily basis. We’ve never found a hen house that’s as strong and easy to use. It’s made from tough recycled plastic that’s chew-resistant and very hygienic.”

The innovative roof opens to give excellent access for collecting eggs and cleaning. Features include: strong, long-lasting material; solid floor raised off the ground for insulation; two natural wood perches; corner nest box; stands for drinker and feeder; hinged threshold on the pop hole; vertical sliding door compatible with automatic door openers; carrying handles; hasp and staple catch (can be padlocked).

Product details: dimensions w1200 x l1000 x h900mm; max. 12 hens; supplied flat-packed with easy to follow instructions; weight 57kg; storm and wind resistant; predator-proof; eco-friendly; optional 3m run with partial cover available for £100.
