How many hens?

PUBLISHED: 14:17 20 April 2011

I have an average suburban garden – how many hens should I buy?

FRANCINE’S ANSWER

I would always start small. You can always increase your flock later. Hens are quite happy in twos and threes. Never buy just one though - she would be unhappy. Give them as much space as you can. The more space, the less stress, and the healthier your little flock will be.
